Spider Vein Treatment in Reading

The excel® V laser system uses a high-power green laser to precisely treat visible vessels, broken capillaries, spider veins, vascular lesions, and skin discoloration. The laser light is absorbed by abnormal blood vessels in the skin, which heats and eliminates the vessels, ultimately restoring normal skin tone and color. The technology in the excel® V has been proven effective in treating a wide range of skin conditions, including rosacea, facial veins, port wine stains, cherry angiomas, telangiectasia, neck poikeloderma (redness of the neck), leg veins, (red and/or purple spider veins), sun damage, and pigment on the face, neck, chest, and arms. The excel® V laser also incorporates the latest innovations in cooling technologies enabling the doctor to deliver higher doses directly to the affected lesion with less pain than traditional laser systems and no downtime for the patients. Most conditions can be resolved with 1 to 2 treatments.

Redness and/or swelling can be expected following treatment and will resolve within a few days. Treated brown spots will darken and slough off within 3 to 6 days. For full-face treatments, swelling will peak 24 to 48 hours post-treatment and usually resolves within a few days. Typically, you can wear make-up and return to normal activities immediately. Your provider may recommend a topical steroid to reduce swelling as needed.
